Q. Why Do I Need a Special Mobile Version of My Website?
Websites built for viewing on computer screens just don’t display well on mobile devices. Often times the mobile device is just too slow to load the page and when it does load, the text is too tiny to read or navigate. Mobile optimized websites are built for smaller screens and are easy to read and navigate on mobile phones.
Q. Do I Need a Special Mobile Domain Name?
There are a number of options for domain names. Most people choose one of the following:

- mobile.yourdomainname.com
- m.yourdomainname.com
- yourdomainname.mobi
We can discuss all the options and select the one or combination of ones that make the most sense for your business.
With a Speedy Website, your initial domain name is registered at no charge for the first year with only a $15 yearly renewal fee after that. You can lock on your name from one to ten years. If you already have a domain name, we can help you “point” it to our server.
Q. What About Website Hosting?
A hosting account provides your website with space to “live” on the Internet. For security reasons, you don’t want to host it on your own computer. We’ll set up your hosting account and handle all the technical aspects to ensure a smooth process.
Hosting is typically a monthly service fee. For a Speedy Icon Style Website, the monthly fee is $1o. Standard hosting is typically $15 – $25 per month depending on the type of service you require. If you host both a standard website and mobile website with us, your mobile website hosting is free!
Q. How Do I Know If People Are Actually Visiting My Site?
Hosting accounts come with basic statistics or Google Analytics. We’ll be able to tell you how many people are visiting your site. Google Analytics will allow you to determine which keywords were used to find your website. We only collect IP information which identifies the Internet Services Provider, not an individual.
Q. Will My Mobile Website Replace My Standard Desktop Website?
In most case, No, it compliments your existing website. We install “swticher code” so when someone on a mobile device lands on your standard website they are automatically redirected to your mobile website for a better user experience.
